A day in the life of an archaeological field camp
A day in the jungles of Belize can be long and tiring but sometimes we get to take a break and bask in the glory of the day. Students and staff split their free time between relaxing and recreational activities like frisbee, hiking and soccer (futbol). Nearly every evening a truly international soccer match is played in the common area between the students huts and the workmen’s camp. The Belizean and Guatemalen workers are quite good at futbol (above; Mike Duffy practices some of his ‘moves’ on Adrian).
